Beauty From Ashes Print 4X6
Beauty from Ashes
Artist: Taylor Kieschnick
Watercolor & Charcoal
This piece is based off of the scripture Isaiah 61:3, “to grant those who mourn in Zion– to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified”. The hand is meant to look like it is breaking and falling apart, becoming like ash while reaching out to accept a beautiful rose. This is such a beautiful representation of what Christ does for us when we come to him. When we bring our broken and messy pieces to God he gladly takes them and clothes us in beauty, he gives us joy and gladness, and he fills us with a spirit of praise. No matter how broken or messy your life may seem, He is waiting to show you the beauty in it all.
